Oh baby, its the Bachelor

Happy 'hump' Day everyone! I hope your week is going fabulous :) Have any of you been watching The Bachelor with the hunkiest bachelor of all; Sean Lowe? My goodness he is PERFECTION! So in honor of his season & last nights episode, I am going to list all 26 of the ladies names and what I think about their name & maybe add a little of what I think about them! Give me your feedback about the names or if you've been watching, whose your fave gal at the moment?

Amanda: My middle name is Amanda, which is completely random and I've never really been a fan of it. The only thing I like about it is how it looks when I write it. I mean its not the worst name but I am personally just not a fan of it. Oh and can I just say, *thank you Sean for sending her home last night*. What a weirdo, she was!

AshLee: 1. This name is SO popular in my generation, that I have never liked it because I knew so many and I didn't like a few of them. 2. I am NOT a fan of this spelling either. Actually Ashlee would be fine but AshLee, with the capitol *L* is just rediculous to me. However, I love this girl. Such a sweet heart.

Ashley x 2: See POPULAR. I find this name to be SO boring and overused. Pretty sure this chicky poo went home early on. Didn't really care her. She was just as boring as her name. The other Ashley was stunning but she went home too *boo hoo*.

Brooke: Sometimes I like this name & sometimes I don't. I prefer Brooklyn with the nickname Brooke but non the less, still a cute name. This girl was super nice but definitely not Sean's type. *Ya 'cause I know his type :$*.

Catherine: Ok, I've never been a fan of the name Catherine or this girl until last nights episode. Still not a fan of her name but LOVE her. Cate is a cute nickname for it though :)

Daniella: I use to have this name on my list way back when I was in, I want to say *grade 6* but thats a LONG time ago, so I'm not sure. I think its a cute name but I'm not a fan of it anymore! I think this girl is gorg and I like her but I don't see a connection with her & Seanie. *Ya I'm on a nickname basis with Sean, the bachelor, jealous?* Totes kidding, obv!

Desiree: I don't like this name at all. I don't know what it is about but I find it so unattractive. This girl is a sweetheart though!

Diana: This name is a little to 'old fashion' for me. But it suits some people :) It doesn't really suit this girl though. Oh well :P

Jackie: UGH. I despise the name Jackie/Jacklyn/Jacqueline/etc. I don't know why I have such a strong hate for these names but I just do. This girl is fab though :)

Katie: Such a cute name/nickname! My BFF in elementary school went by Katie and I always loved her name!

Kelly: BORING name. And I don't even remember this girl, so what does that tell ya?

Keriann: I don't like the spelling of this name. It makes me want to pronounce it differently than Keri - Ann. I think Carrie/Karrie/Keri/Kerri/ETC is a cool name. I always thought it would be a cool name to have. Not a fan of the *Ann* part though. This girl is fabulous and gorg!

Kristy: I think Kristy is an adorable name. I went to school with a Kristy and she was super sweet, so I think thats why I like this name because she was such a sweet heart :) This girl was nutzo and cried every ten seconds. Can you say *ANNOYING*?

Lacey: Meh. Not a favourite of mine. I've never been a fan of the Lacey/Maci/Casey names. I don't remember this girl either.

Lauren: LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOOOOOVE this name! I have a reoccuring dream that I have a daughter and I name her Lauren Olivia everytime I have this dream! I think this name is precious :)

Lesley: Not a fan of the name at all. Its just not *pretty* to me. This girl is awesome. Dude she got to set the world record for longest on screen kiss WITH Sean! Whose jealous? I'm JEALOUS! Anyways love the girl, not her name!

Leslie: Meh. Same way I feel about it up there. Except this girl got diamonds from Sean then got sent home on the same day. Lucky/Unlucky her!

Lindsay: This name is just okay. Again its pretty popular in my generation and it just doesn't stand out to me.

Paige: LOVE this name. This is one of my favourite girl names to use as a middle name! Such a sweet name :)

Robyn: Don't like the name or the girl.. Her chocolate reference on last nights episode was embarassing and she shouldn't have done it.

Sarah: This name is cute. I would never use it because its super boring and popular in my generation but its cute! And this girl is even more cute. She was born with only half an arm on one side and she is just SO inspiring and the way Sean is with her just melts my heart!

Selma: I am starting to like this name because of this girl! She is beyond gorgeous. Shes actually perfect. Selma is cute though, I think? What do y'all think?

Taryn: LOOOOVE this name! Such a cool name :)

Tierra: UGH. BARF.VOMIT.PUKE. Ok, I apologize, that was mean but it just reminds me of the crown that goes on the princess' head. Not a cute name at all. And not a cute girl either. She is gorgeous, I'll give her that but her personality SUCKS! *Drama Queen*

Kacie: Oh Kacie B. Um I'm kind of starting to like the name Casey/Kasey. So its cute :)

Last but not least .. The Bachelor himself .. Sean! I think Sean is a cute name! I would never use it or put it on my list but its a good name :)

Alright ladies, who has the BEST name from The Bachelor Cast & who has the WORST name from The Bachelor Cast? Let me hear it :)

Toodles,
Jaylyn ♥

My top 10 guilty pleasure names

Hi guys & happy Monday!
Today I will be telling you about my top 5 GP names for each gender.
I will include pronunciation, rank in 2011, origin & meaning (if possible; from nameberry.com), and why I wouldn't use it.

First, I should probably explain what it means for a name to be a "guilty pleasure" for those who don't know. A guilty pleasure name is a name you absolutely ADORE, but would/could never use. You may not be able to use it because it is hard to pronounce, you know someone with that name, teasing potential, or another reason.
Lets get started. These names are in no order, but alphabetical by gender.

Name: Halia
Pronunciation: Hay-lee-uh
Rank: N/A
Origin: Hawaiian
Meaning: Remembrance of a loved one
Why I wouldnt use it: I feel as though people in my area would have trouble pronouncing it. Halia also reminds me of "inhalants", which makes me think of people getting high off of bathroom cleaners and such. That kind of ruins it for me.

Name: Mirena
Pronunciation: Muh-ray-nuh
Rank: N/A
Origin: N/A
Meaning: N/A
Why I wouldnt use it: Mirena is a type of birth control, and the commercial for it is how I first heard the name and loved it.

Name: Nevaeh
Pronunciation: Nuh-vay-uh
Rank: 35
Origin: Modern invented name
Meaning: Heaven spelled backwards
Why I wouldnt use it: Okay guys, go ahead an hate me for this one, but there is something so CUTE about the name Nevaeh to me! If so many people didnt hate it / have trouble spelling it, I would use it myself.

Name: Sofiana
Pronunciation: So-fee-AH-nuh
Rank: N/A
Origin: N/A
Meaning: N/A
Why I wouldnt use it: I absolutely LOVE this name. It sounds like the name of a princess. I just cant see a 30 year old business woman named Sofiana. It doesnt age well at all in my opinion.

Name: Tannah
Pronunciation: Tan-uh
Rank: N/A
Origin: N/A
Meaning: N/A
Why I wouldnt use it: I absolutely love this name. I first saw it when I found a birth announcement while looking through old family pictures. I wouldnt use it because it sounds like I am saying Tanner with a Boston accent.

Name: Bentley
Pronunciation: Bent-lee
Rank: 75
Origin: English
Meaning: Meadow with coarse grass
Why I wouldnt use it: 16 and Pregnant has made Bentley SO much more popular in recent years. It is now thought of as "trendy", and I dont want my son to have 8 other Bentleys in his class.

Name: Calix
Pronunciation: Kay-licks
Rank: N/A
Origin: Latin
Meaning: Chalice (this is another name for a goblet)
Why I wouldnt use it: Pronunciation, mainly. Cale-ix, Cal-ix, Cawl-ix. I can hear them all.

Name: Grady
Pronunciation: Gray-dee
Rank: 302
Origin: Irish
Meaning: Noble
Why I wouldnt use it: I have a house down in Cape Cod and our neighbors have a beautiful grandson named Grady. If I were to use it, it would be assumed that I named my son after him, as I have always had a crush on him. Also, many people have told me it sounds like 'gravy'.

Name: Luciano
Pronunciation: Loo-chee-AH-no
Rank: 649
Origin: Italian
Meaning: Light
Why I wouldnt use it: Like Calix, mainly pronunciation. Loo-see-anne-oh, Loo-see-ah-no, Loo-chee-anne-oh. I also think it is too long, and I cant picture it on anyone other than a male model.

Name: Princeton
Pronunciation: Prins-tin
Rank: 978
Origin: English
Meaning: Princely town
Why I wouldnt use it: Maybe if I attended Princeton University, I would consider it as a middle name, but I do not plan on applying there, so I wouldnt use it. I also dont want people calling him "Prince".

Thank you all for reading!
Have an amazing week!

Too Many Middles- AKA How I Came To Love Two Middles
For a long time, my top two names for girls were Gina Lorene and Charlie Beth. Gina was a shortened version of my grandmother’s name of Virginia. Lorene because I had a great aunt named Lorena. Lorene has been in my family for three generations. Charlie is a nickname that I always wanted a daughter of mine to have, but the name Charlotte is unusable to me. Beth has always been a sweet nickname that I thought would sound great as a filler middle name.
As time went on, I realized that I really liked the name Charlie Beth Amira. However, I shudder to think about using two middles! I always assumed it was for people who couldn’t make up their minds. But Charlie Beth Amira kept insisting that it belonged on my list, so finally I decided to put it on there. There it was: my number 2 name had two middles on a list of names with one. It looked so out of place.
Soon, Gina Lorene started to sound bad. It was so rhymey. I decided that it needed a name to go between Gina and Lorene. I went through many names, most notably Paola, a variation on my mother’s name. However, the one I decided on was there all along underneath my nose. The name was Alessandra, number 4 on my list. It went well with Gina and Lorene didn’t look so bad attached to it. My number one girls’ name is Gina Alessandra Lorene.
Well, now Gina Alessandra Lorene and Charlie Beth Amira do not look like they are from the same family. Gina could stand on its own as a name, even though it is often a nickname, but Charlie looks so informal. Charlotte was out of the question, so I went to a name I had as a middle on my list. The name was Caroline.
Soon, Charlie Beth Amira became Caroline Emmanuelle Paige, still with the nickname Charlie. The reason I choose Emmanuelle is because I thought that it complimented Alessandra in my top name. Emmanuelle is not everyone’s cup of tea, but it works as a long middle and I find it breathtaking. Paige is a nod to my mother as the first two letters are the same in her name and she really loves the name Paige.
My top two names are ones I am really proud of: Gina Alessandra Lorene and Caroline Emmanuelle Paige “Charlie”. Gina and Charlie. These will be my daughters.
Thanks for reading my story and I’d like to thank Jamie, Ali, Jaylyn, and Kirstie for allowing me to share my name story in their blog. J

My Top Names: The Past [girls]

I have been into names for about a year or two. So, be prepared for a lot of names. ;) This list does not include my current top names. I am not going to write out the meaning, origin, etc. But if you click on the name, all the info will be linked and it will take to it. Since there are so many, I am going to do the girls this week and the boys next week. Get out your popcorn because we're going to be here a while! ;)

Surnames As First Names: Girls

Happy Hump Day! Woohoo! It's almost Friday .. Thank the Lord! It has been a CRAZY week so far, so this post is a good little break for ME :) Last week I post some of my favourite surnames as first names for BOYS and as promised this week I am doing my girl addition! Enjoy & let me know what your favourite surnames for girls as first names are and if you like any of mine!

I want to start with my ALL TIME FAVOURITE and I'm sure you all could guess what it is .. Reese! So I loved this name when I was in Grade 9, the reason being, I had heard it somewhere and I just fell inlove with it. BUT then in Grade 10 I had a crush on a boy and his last name was none other than Reese. So whenever I tell people I LOVE Reese, they are all "Ohh you only love it because of _ _ _ _ Reese". NOT TRUE PEOPLE! Anyways that is my #1 favourite surname for a girl.

Another surname that I currently LOVE for a girl is Miller!Ok, so I follow a blog and this lady has 4 daughters & 2 of them are named Reese & Miller. That isn't where I heard of Reese but it is where I fell inlove with the name Miller. Like hello go to her blog and check out how flippin' CUTE this baby is! You'd love the name Miller to, I bet :)

The third surname as a first that I'm going tell you about is an absolute fave of mine, however I only use it for a middle name because everyone always tells me they hate it. Are you ready? Duh, duh, duh .. It is Greer!I think it's soooo cute but know one really agree's with me :( Oh well.

Here are some others that I like too:
-- Bronte
-- Fallon
-- Harper
-- Leighton
-- Addison
-- Berkley
-- Blakely
-- Brighton
-- Lennon
-- Lennox
-- Lyndon/Lindyn
-- Monroe
-- Madden
-- Rowan
-- Sawyer (GP)
-- Mackenzie
-- Sloane
-- Tatum
-- Mackenzie
-- Morgan
-- Gray

I definitely LOVE more surnames for girls than I do boys. I know they are all basically masculine but I just have a bad obsession with them for girls! Lol. Did I list any of your favourites? Feel free to share any that I didn't post because I'd love to hear more :)

Formspring's Finest Favorites (Part 2: Boys)

Hi everyone & happy Monday!
2 weeks ago, I asked my friends on Formspring what their favorite name for each gender is, and today I am going to tell you my favorites of the BOYS names they listed! There are 12 of them. If you missed part one, the link is here --> http://babynamenook.blogspot.com/2013/01/formsprings-finest-favorites-part-1.html
I will give the name, who's favorite it is, ranking in 2011, if it has ever been on my favorites list, and why I like it.
Enjoy!

Name: Andrew
Loved by: Aurora01
Rank: 16
On my favorites list?: Yes; November 8, 2012-present
Why I love it: It is a family name for me. I love almost all of the names in my family. My grandfather and dad's middle name is Alan, which was made by putting together Alexander and Andrew- both of my paternal great-grandfather's names. I am not a fan of Alexander, but I love Andrew and would love to use it.

Name: Bowen
Loved by: missWilhelm
Rank: 723
On my favorites list?: GP
Why I love it: New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees has a little boy named Bowen. His son starred in a Nyquil commercial with Drew. I saw how adorable this little boy was and started really liking his name as well, but not enough to use it, which is why it is on my GP list.

Name: Brady
Loved by: Carhilly
Rank: 135
On my favorites list?: Yes; April 2012-present
Why I love it: Tom Brady, of course. Tom Brady is the quarterback for my home team- The New England Patriots. I dont watch football, but he is a GOD in the looks department. Holy moly. Gisele Bundchen is VERY lucky.

Name: Cash
Loved by: jaylynbonddd
Rank: 264
On my favorites list?: GP
Why I love it: I honestly dont know. I just think there is something adorable about it and I can see Cash on a boy of any age.

Name: Coen
Loved by: ariajuliet
Rank: 974
On my favorites list?: No
Why I love it: I read a story a few years back and there was a baby named Cohen. Since then, I have loved this name on and off. I will love it, forget about it, and then love it again. I have been absolutely loving this name for the past week.

Name: Danny
Loved by: SakiHeart
Rank: 348
On my favorites list?: No
Why I love it: Danny, Danny, Danny. I love the name Danny (Daniel) almost as much as my #1 name. Daniel "Danny" is my best friends name and I cant imagine not naming a son after him. This name is perfect in my book.

Name: Eli
Loved by: Patey3
Rank: 58
On my favorites list?: No
Why I love it: I just love the sound of it. I am not a fan of full names for Eli (except Elias, which I love). I think it is adorable on its own. Short, simple and sweet.

Name: Graham
Loved by: FireflysLove
Rank: 255
On my favorites list?: No
Why I love it: This name used to immediately make me think of graham crackers. I used to dislike it because of this, but now I see an innocence to the name Graham. It sounds very masculine and I can see it on any age. I now think of a very handsome boy in my class with this as a surname, which makes me love it even more.

Name: Holden
Loved by: Carhilly
Rank: 299
On my favorites list?: Yes; December 28, 2012-present
Why I love it: I dont know why I love this name, actually. There is something about it that reminds me of a beautiful, bright-eyed baby boy who is always smiling. I can absolutely see myself using this name in the future.

Name: Jackson
Loved by: KelseyBabyNames
Rank: 23
On my favorites list?: Yes; April 2012-present
Why I love it: Although I dislike the name Jack on its own, Jackson with the nickname "Jack" sounds absolutely adorable to me. I once met a boy named Jackson who was the most beautiful boy I had ever seen and that is when I started liking the name. It sounds handsome on a baby, child, teenager and adult, but I cannot picture it on an elderly man, which is why it is not one of my top favorites on my personal list.

Name: Noah
Loved by: Namegames2 & EdithOlivia
Rank: 5
On my favorites list?: Yes; April 2012-present
Why I love it: Noah has to be one of the most sweet sounding boys names out there. I absolutely know why it is rank at #5. I love the -ah ending and when I say Noah, there is something that sounds really calming to me, and though I would not use it personally, I still adore it.

Name: Wesley
Loved by: orlaithsnames
Rank: 156
On my favorites list?: No
Why I love it: My aunt's name is Lesley. She is my favorite aunt in my family. She was diagnosed with MS many years ago and each day is a struggle and she is getting worse and worse. I think that I love this name so much because it reminds me of her. Also because the nickname Wes is absolutely adorable.

Thank you for reading!
Jamie will be posting tomorrow!
Have an amazing week!

Guest Blogger: Kelsey

Today our guest blogger is Kelsey.  Please welcome Kelsey and enjoy this post from her :)  Also, let us know if you enjoy these posts by commenting!  Happy Friday!! :D
----------------------

Hey everyone! J My name is Kelsey, and I am so excited about guest blogging on this amazing name blog, which is run by some fabulous ladies. To start off, I’d like to introduce myself. My name is Kelsey and I am sixteen years old. I live in a small town in Idaho, USA. I am on my high school’s dance team and I am president of our local chapter of Idaho Drug Free Youth. I am also a member of National Honor Society. I spend my free time writing Fanfiction, reading, on Formspring (@KelseyBabyNames), or on Twitter (@kelseyisblessed) or Pinterest http://pinterest.com/crazykelly101/ . Today, my post will be about my favorite names. My favorite names are constantly changing, but here’s what they are right now.

My current #1 girl name is Aria. Aria has recently crept up to the top of my list. I did hear it on Pretty Little Liars, but I also heard about it through Formspring, and fell in love with it. I also love the meaning (lion/lioness). The middle name paired with it, Michelle, is honoring my best friend in the entire world. Her name is Ivy Michelle. My #1 girl combo: Aria Michelle

My #2 girl name is Holland. I came across this name on Youtube when I found a mom with a little girl named this. I immediately fell in love with it. It honors my heritage, as my family is Dutch, and my grandfather (who passed away in 2007) served his LDS mission in Holland, so there’s a lot of meaning to it for me. The middle name paired with it, Elizabeth, honors both my grandmother who passed away this past April and my friend Laurel, whose middle name is Elizabeth. My #2 girl combo: Holland Elizabeth

My #3 girl name is Elliana. Elliana is a name that I fell in love with after I heard it on Youtube. (RealityChangers) I love this spelling with the double l especially. The middle name paired with it, Hope, is just a word and name that I have loved for a very long time. It is also honoring my sister in a way, because her favorite inspirational word is hope. My #3 girl combo: Elliana Hope

My #1 boy name is Jackson. Jackson has been my number one boy name since the end of April last year. Last year, on April 28, 2012, two of my good friends and classmates were killed in a one vehicle crash. If you’re interested here is the news article:http://www.ktvb.com/news/Two-injured-in-crash-near-New-Plymouth-149398995.html Since then, Jackson has become a good way to honor my friend Jackson who was killed in that wreck. The middle name that I have paired with it, Koa, is a Hawaiian word that means brave. My #1 boy combo: Jackson Koa

My #2 boy name is Gavin. After hearing it on Youtube (@armeadors) and seeing her adorable son named Gavin, I fell in love with this name. I also love the meaning! (White hawk of battle) The middle name that I have paired with it, Theodore, honors my late grandfather, who passed away in 2007. My #2 boy combo: Gavin Theodore

My #3 boy name is Eli. Eli is also a new favorite to make its way onto my list. Its meaning (Ascend; my god) is also meaningful to me, as I am a faithful member of the LDS church. The middle name that I’ve paired with it, Benjamin, honors one of my friends who always seems to make me smile and laugh. My #3 boy combo: Eli Benjamin
Well, I hope you all enjoyed this post! Thanks so much for reading!

Best Internet Sibsets

I have a feeling that this post is going to be a long one, so let's just get into it!

Best Blog Sibset
Blog Name: This Year's Love Will Last
Sibset: Aidan, Sawyer, Reese, & Miller (all girls)

Aidan: Irish meaning "little and fiery".
Sawyer: English meaning "woodcutter".
Reese: Welsh meaning "fiery, zealous".
Miller: English occupational name meaning "grinder of grain".

This sibset is just oh so perfect! I never really thought of putting Aidan and Miller on girls...but it just works so well! I am a sucker of predominantly male names on girls. I think it's spunky and cute -- especially when they're girly-girls. Amanda's (blog author) four little girls are just precious and adorable. I have quite the obsession with her blog ever since Jaylyn posted about Reesey have a brain tumor. :( I won't get into because it's not my place, but if you want to find out more, follow the blog!!

Best YouTube Sibset
YouTube Channel: breanneshop52
Sibset: Samuel Hayden, Charlotte Henri, & Betsy Wren.

Samuel Hayden: Hebrew meaning "told by God" (Samuel); English meaning "heather-grown hill" (Hayden)
Charlotte Henri: French feminine form of Charles meaning "free man" (Charlotte); German meaning "estate ruler"
Betsy Wren: Diminutive of Elizabeth meaning "pledged to God"; bird name

I discovered Breanne's YouTube a few months back, while she was still pregnant with Betsy. Our naming style is very similar. Before I found her YouTube channel, I though Samuel was a boring and ordinary -- a not-so-special-name. But after I found her channel, I started not to mind the name. I hadn't thought of Henry as a girl's name. I had seen the name Harri on a girl on The X Factor before. When she announced the name of Betsy, I instantly fell in love. Betsy and Charlotte are my top favorite names EVER! They are just so cute [the names and the girls]! Breanne is just so sweet and funny. She tries to #findthefunny in every day. She is so positive and makes the best out of what life throws at her!

Best YouTube Sibset:
YouTube Channel: loraandlayton
Sibset: Tripp, Declan, & Everett

Tripp: word name
Declan: Irish whose meaning is unknown, but it could possibly mean "man of prayer"
Everett: English variation [of the German Eberhard] meaning "brave as a wild boar"

I've been watching Lora & Layton for about 4 years now. She is just the sweetest person ever! Lora is currently expecting their third child, who they named Everett. Tripp is a goofy 4 year old. And Declan is a quiet little sweetheart. I love how their boy's names just go together so well! I think Wild, Wild West.. Tripp's name is really Bryan Layton III, but since he is the third one in line with this name they call him Tripp as in "triple". Layton's dad goes by Bryan, Layton goes by, well, Layton, and Tripp goes by Tripp.

Best YouTube Sibset
YouTube Channel: Jlk6532
Sibset: Mimi & Olive

Mimi: Hebrew name that means "bitter"
Olive: English nature name meaning "olive tree"

I watch a family on YouTube (kyleandcourt) and they have a daughter named Sophia "Sophie". Sophie's best friend is Mimi. I started watching Jenney through Courtney. I L-O-V-E British sounding names. Can I just say that this is the bestest, perfectest sibset ever?! ha ha.

Formspring's Finest Favorites (Part 1: Girls)

Hi everyone & happy Monday!
Last week, I asked my friends on Formspring what their favorite name for each gender is, and today I am going to tell you my favorites of the GIRLS names they listed! There are 8 names. Next week, I will tell you my 13 favorites for boys.
I will give the name, who's favorite it is, ranking in 2011, if it has ever been on my favorites list, and why I love it.
Enjoy!

Name: Adalise
Loved by: brycry
Rank: N/A
On my favorites list?: Yes; August 15-24, 2012
Why I love it: I checked a very old baby name book out of the library last Summer. I was looking through it and under the name Adelaide was Adelice. I asked about it on Formspring and got very positive results (minus the few who didnt like the -lice ending). Brycry fell in love with it as soon as she answered my question, which made me SO honored. I love Addison & Elise and this is a perfect combination of them both.

Name: Addison
Loved by: BaileyBoo1011
Rank: 13
On my favorites list?: Yes; May 22, 2012-present
Why I love it: I used to have a friend named Alyssa who had a little sister named Addison. She was the CUTEST little girl in the world and she really got me loving this name with the nickname Addie.

Name: Carson
Loved by: xNutMegx56
Rank: N/A
On my favorites list?: No
Why I love it: I have always had a soft spot for Carson on a girl. I think it sounds more feminine than masculine, but I love it on both genders. I started liking it when I saw Bring It On: In It to Win It, where the character of Carson was played by Ashley Benson. The same name, but spelled Karsyn, was on my favorites list in 2010.

Name: Isla
Loved by: LaLaLeah15
Rank: 268
On my favorites list?: GP
Why I love it: There is something about Isla that sounds so royal to me. It sounds like the name of a princess. I would love to have this name on my list, but I just dont love it enough to use it.

Name: Kennedy
Loved by: Michelle63092
Rank: 90
On my favorites list?: GP
Why I love it: I was watching a Discovery Health special when I was younger about Primordial Dwarfism. There was a little girl named Kenadie (Kenadie Jourdin-Bromley), who was absolutely adorable and she got me liking the name. I did not, however, like the spelling, so I went the presidential route and changed it to Kennedy.

Name: Lilliana
Loved by: ClaudiaJuliet
Rank: 311
On my favorites list?: No (but Liliana is)
Why I love it: This name is literally SO perfect. Back when my top 2 were Lia and Lily (which was just last week, but bear with me. My break-up with Lily has been a hard one), I always said that if I was to only have one girl, her name would be Liliana because I could use both the nicknames Lia and Lily. Now that I am not in love with Lily anymore, I dont think I will be keeping Liliana on for much longer, but I still love it. Also, I LOVE -ana names.

Name: Ruby
Loved by: eriok
Rank: 109
On my favorites list?: No
Why I love it: I dont know any girls named Ruby. It is very popular across the pond, but not where I live. There is just something so sweet about the name Ruby. I also love it as a middle name.

Name: Sienna
Loved by: Carhilly
Rank: 225
On my favorites list?: No
Why I love it: Sienna sounds so exotic to me. I have never ever met a Sienna, but I would love to! The name is SO pretty! I also love Sienna because of my love for -ana / -anna names. Carlie (Carhilly) is really helping by talking about it in her videos! I am falling in love with it!

Thank you for reading!
Stay tuned for tomorrow's post: Jamie will be talking to you about some celebrity baby names(:
See you next Monday for Formspring's Finest Favorites (Part 2: Boys)! See if your names made the cut!
Have an amazing week!

The Perils of Having a Well Named Family
I have a huge family. Not a huge immediate family, but my extended family is HUGE! I have 20+ cousins on one side (I’m too lazy to actually count every single cousin, spouse and child on that side). My mother’s side isn’t that big, but I still have 5 cousins on that side. My mom is one of 4 girls, and my dad is one of 5(4 boys, 1 girl), and everyone has at least one child, and one spouse. Now this doesn’t sound like there would be a baby naming problem, just a problem of forgetting someone’s birthday (thank you Facebook for now eliminating that issue!), but there is a huge baby naming problem in this mix of 40+ people, almost every single one of them has an awesome name, one that I would like to eventually use. They are classic, and cute, and pretty, and masculine, and on trend, and most of them are just perfect for me. I’ll start by taking you through some of my dad’s side, then my mom’s, then my grandparents, finishing with my wonderfully named sisters.

Aunts/Uncles (dad’s side):
Claire: My Uncle Tom married a wonderful woman, she is smart, and just lovely inside and out. And her name is no less wonderful.
Thomas: I have two Uncle Toms. My Aunt Nancy married one, and then there is my dad’s brother Tom. Adding one more into the mix would be even more confusing, even if mine wouldn’t go by Tom.
Edward: Again, one of my dad’s brother’s, wonderfully named with a name that is now out of my reach

Cousins (Dad’s side[this list is REALLY long]):
Emily: I don’t care that this name topped the charts for so long; it’s simply amazing to me. It’s so pretty and classic, and feminine, and one of my cousin’s names
Andrew: Again, classic, masculine, biblical, and to me just really amazing.
Julia: Goodness, I love this name. It’s feminine and classic, not overused, and biblical. I also really love Julianne, so I think I might end up using that in the future as a substitute to Julia.
Patrick: I love this name, it’s super cute. I like that it’s Irish, and not too popular
{note: all 4 of the names above are from one sibset}
Erin: This name is kind of dated, I know this, but I still think that it’s lovely!
Matthew: Ugh, I just love Matthew. It’s handsome and classic.
Katherine: Again, feminine and classic, and beautiful. One of the alternatives that I’ve come up with for this one is Kate; I love Kate but not as much as Katherine.
Elizabeth: I am SO in love with the name Elizabeth. I basically swoon every time I see it. I think it’s so pretty and classic, and seriously just wonderful!
Zachary: This name is just cool to me, maybe it’s the Zach Morris connection, I don’t know, but I love it!

Aunts/Uncles (Mom’s Side):
Evan: He is married to my Aunt Jill, lovely name, can’t be used 

Cousins (Mom’s Side):
Emily: See Above
Andrew: See Above
Noah: I really love the name Noah. I think it is super duper cute, and really ages well.
Sophia: Would use this name in a heartbeat, even if it is super popular. Though my cousin goes mainly by Sophie…..possibilities here?
Grandparents:
Ruth (mom’s mom): I love the name Ruth, especially as a middle name, but honoring is really my thing unless the person has had a HUGE impact on my life
Mary (dad’s mom): I don’t care if people think this name is boring, I think it’s wonderful; I would even consider using the name Mary Ruth. There is one really big problem though: my dad’s parents had a realllly nasty divorce.

Sisters!:
Alexandra: She goes mainly by Allie or Alex, never Lexie, and I love her name. It’s princess-y and just beautiful
Molly: Love her name. So amazing, and really cute!

So would you consider using any names that some of your extended family members have? Do you think any of these names are usable for me?
