Happy (early) St. Patrick's Day! I had been waiting for St. Patrick's Day, so I could do a post on baby names that correspond to St. Patrick's Day (and Ireland, too!). I was going to do names related to St. Patrick's Day food, but I didn't think Corned Beef or Soda Bread made very good names. ;) Let's get started, shall we?! :)

Patrick: A Latin name that means "noble, patrician"
Deacon: A Greek name that means "messenger, servant". St. Patrick's father was a deacon
Maewyn: There isn't a whole lot of information on this name. It is believed that it is either English or Welsh in origin. This was St. Patrick's birth name. It's originally a boy's name, but with this spelling it could work for a girl. You also have the option of Mae as a nickname!
Riona: It's an Irish name that means "saint".
Trinity: A Latin name that means "triad". It is said that St. Patrick used the 3-leaf Shamrock to explain the Holy Trinity to the Irish people.
Clover: A nature name. It might be a little too "GP", but it's pretty cute, huh?!
Irelynn: A creative spelling of Ireland.
Ireland: A place name. You could still do Ireland with the original spelling. This is a really cute place name!

Emerald: A Persian gem name.
Ivy: A plant name.
Blue: A color name. The color blue was originally associated with the St. Patrick's Day holiday
Greene: A color name. Think Gray, Rose, Indigo, etc.... Maybe it's best as a middle name.
Greenlee: An English name that means "from the green field". If you're not a fan of Greene, try Greenlee! So cute and I think it would age pretty well.
Jade: An English jewel name.
Olive: A name of English from Latin origin meaning "olive tree".
Sage: A Latin name meaning "wise, healthy". A great unisex name!

Leaf: A nature name. Leif is also an option!
Fern: A nature name; a tree name.

Chance: An English name that means "chancellor".
Zelda: German and Yiddish. It means "luck". This could be a great choice for a video game enthusiast!
